THANK YOU to everyone who came from near and far to catch one of our final three shows for the foreseeable future… Korin and Augie welcome their second child in May, but I guess it’s really the third considering how much The Hard Lessons has meant for nearly 12 years.
There is really no way to put it in words. People have been asking about the final song we played. It was a cover of the song “Thank You” by The Descendants:

SURPRISE! Deal’s Gone Bad can’t make our Post-Christmas Blowout on Friday, so we invited up Silent Lions main-man Dean Tartaglia’s new band to fill in, fresh of our collabo in Toledo last week.

A few years ago we teamed up with Bellyache Records to release our most elaborate Christmas single ever. A deluxe color-vinyl 45 + compact disc combo featuring our own Korin Louise’s stunning rendition of O Holy Night, and of course our tribute to the man who made it Christmas ALWAYS in Michigan, Wally Bronner. As a band that has forever worn it’s Michigan pride on its sleeve (and literally on Augie’s shirts), the song is more of a wink and nod to our homestate brethren. For the video, Augie borrowed a cheap camera and filmed between gigs, conceptualizing, filming, and editing the final product in a couple of days’ time. ENJOY!
